The Columbia University Club of Spain was created in December 2004. It is University-sanctioned club and we invite *all* members of the Columbia community to join.

The Club has almost just started and we have a lot of fantastic things to organize ahead of us ... ! We are looking forward to getting you involved, starting with your participation in our 2009 events.

Our General Meeting is coming soon this April! and we are eager to welcome our new Club officers. There are alumni of all schools at Columbia participating in the organization of events, such as talks, cultural trips, presentations and much more!

In past events, we have had University Professor and Nobel Laureate Robert Mundell discussiong about the development of the European Union, Professor Thomas Pedersen from Applied Physics and Applied Math talking about the future and prospective of energy generation and Columbia Law Professor and Ambassador Richard Gardner presenting his latest book about his mission in Italy and the cold war... Mission

The Columbia University Club of Spain is a reflection of the University and its alumni. With more than 375 Columbians known to live and/or work in Spain, our mission, as defined in our statutes, is to:

• Promote the interests of Columbia University and all of its schools;
  
• Organize academic and intellectual activities for Columbia alumni;
  
• Organize events to encourage socializing between Club members;
  
• Assist the university by contributing to its recruiting and funding efforts in Spain;
  
• Maintain and strengthen the relationship between Columbia University and its alumni in Spain.
